Florida Print Awards Celebrates Record-Breaking Year
More than 1,100 entries and 350 attendees highlight the strength of Florida’s printing and graphic communications industry
ORLANDO, Fla. August 25, 2026 — The Florida Graphics Alliance (FGA) celebrated a record-breaking year for the Florida Print Awards, bringing together more than 350 printing professionals, industry partners, educators and students from across the state on August 21 at the Orlando World Center Marriott.
The 2026 competition received more than 1,100 entries, the highest number in Florida Print Awards history with increased participation from both printing companies and students.
“This was an incredible year for the Florida Print Awards,” said Gabriel Hernandez, President and CEO of the Florida Graphics Alliance. “The record number of entries and more than 350 people joining us for the celebration demonstrate the strength and excitement surrounding Florida’s printing industry. More importantly, the quality of the work continues to show that Florida printers can compete with the very best anywhere in the country.”
The annual competition recognizes excellence across commercial and digital printing, packaging, labels, wide-format graphics, finishing, specialty applications and creative design.
A highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Golden Flamingo Award to SunDance of Orlando, earning the company the prestigious title of Florida’s Best Printer.
The Golden Flamingo recognizes the company achieving the highest level of overall success in the Florida Print Awards competition and represents one of the industry’s most coveted statewide honors.

Student participation was also a major part of this year’s competition, giving Florida’s next generation of graphic communications professionals an opportunity to showcase their talent and connect with industry leaders.
“The quality of the student work was remarkable,” Hernandez said. “Seeing that level of creativity and technical ability gives us tremendous confidence in the future of our industry.”

FGA also recognized Heidelberg as its 2026 Best Vendor, honoring the company for its decades of support and commitment to FGA, the former Printing Association of Florida, and Florida’s printing industry.
“The Florida Print Awards are about more than trophies,” Hernandez added. “They are about celebrating our people, our companies, our students and an industry that continues to innovate and grow. We are extremely proud of what Florida’s graphic communications community accomplished this year.”
